Scotty McCreery Gets His Own Exhibit at North Carolina Museum
How many teenagers can say that they have an entire museum exhibit devoted to them?
The North Carolina Museum of History launched a special exhibit to celebrate the success of Scotty McCreery, which displays several important pieces of memorabilia from the American Idol Season 10 winner.
Local media outlet WRAL reports that the collection includes Scotty’s Idol finale wardrobe — his black leather coat, jeans, shirt and cross necklace — along with the lyrics sheet for his final performance (“Live Like You Were Dying,” which he sang alongside Tim McGraw), the gold record for his first album, Clear As Day, and his mother’s backstage pass to the Idol finale rehearsal and show.
Sounds like the folks in North Carolina are awfully proud of their homespun country crooner! The exhibit will be on view until January 4, 2013 and admission is free.
