Glee Season 4: Blaine Cheated — So Will Kurt Date Someone New?
It’s safe to say that most Klaine fans are still devastated by last night’s heart-crushing Glee Season 4, Episode 4: “The Break-Up.” In fact, we won’t judge you if your eyes are still so blurry with tears that you’re having trouble reading this right now. But Chris Colfer (Kurt) wants you to know that he feels your pain.
Chris tells TheInsider.com that he thought the episode accurately depicts the struggles people face in a relationship. “I thought it was very realistic,” Chris says about the episode. “People grow up and grow apart. You get busy and lose contact with people you love over time, not intentionally, it's just how life is sometimes. It also gives the story so many places to go now.”
Chris has said in the past that he had hoped for some Klaine conflict to give him something new to play as an actor, and so in that respect, he is looking forward to this change. “Initially, I was excited,” he says. “But I was thinking as an actor and forgot about the fans — now I'm just terrified of how they’ll react. They love their Klaine.”
In fact, Chris says he was “dreading this moment” for the fans’ sakes, and he hopes that the fans aren’t too devastated about this new development between the couple. “Every time something or someone comes between these characters, there are riots and looting in the streets,” he jokes. “I may have to go into hiding. ”
So will we see Kurt start to date new people in NYC? Chris says that’s a definite possibility. “I'm just really excited to see what the future holds for him in general,” he says. “Whether that means dating one person or a few over the course of the season, I just want to see him live and be his own person.”
Chris also hints that, even though Kurt seems a natural in the fashion world, we just might see him sharing classes with Rachel after all. “I really hope we get to explore the fashion world through Kurt's eyes,” Chris says. “I think that'd be a lot of fun to see, and there's so much we could do with it. But he may give it all up for a second chance at NYADA.”
