New York Daily News launched the feud story yesterday, claiming an insider reported Ramona tried to have Aviva banned from the event but that GLAAD wouldn’t get involved and “told Ramona that Aviva was welcome to attend.”
Ramona’s spoken out to say that while she did not try to evict Aviva from the event, she was given a heads up that her foe would be in attendance.
Speaking toCelebuzz, she said, “I did not try to ban Aviva from the event ... I would never do that because I did not want to make an issue out of our issues.”
“The truth is, I’ve been going to the GLAAD event for four years and I support it because it’s such a wonderful cause ... They were very considerate and sent me an email giving me a heads up that Aviva was attending and wanted to make sure that was OK. Of course it was, and I thought it was very considerate. I thought, ‘I’ll deal with it,’” continued Ramona.
She also doused any potential flames concerning her early departure from the night by saying that she had a prior engagement for the same evening, but she did admit that she wasn’t exactly keen on the idea of taking smiling photos alongside Aviva, given their relationship. “[A]lthough I wish Aviva no ill will,” said Ramona, “I don’t exactly want to stand next to her given what has happened on the show.”
The Real Housewives of New York airs Mondays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo.
