Beyonce, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Cameron Diaz Attend [Spoiler]’s Star-Studded 40th Birthday Party

Party on! There were about a bajillion bold-faced names in attendance at a shindig last night to celebrate the 40th birthday of the very "talented" Gwyneth Paltrow.

The star-studded affair was held at Elio restaurant in NYC, and the birthday girl was wearing a "chic black blouse with white trim," according to Us Weekly. Among the first of the famous faces to arrive were Steven Spielberg — who is Gwyneth's godfather and provided one of her first film roles with his movie Hook — along with Gwynnie's mom Blythe Danner (of Meet the Parents fame).

Also in attendance were Kristen Wiig, Jake Gyllenhaal, Cameron Diaz, Chelsea Handler, and of course Gwyneth's husband Chris Martin of Coldplay. One of the later ones to arrive was Beyonce, who we're sure was looking as fab as always.

Just before the big event, Gwyneth spent time prepping with her good friend Cameron Diaz, who also happens to be the big 4-0. "They are really fun and close," the source says about Gwyneth and Cameron. "They were having a great time getting ready for the party. There were lots of laughs." And isn't it kind of perfect that these 40-year-old two blondes who both have ah-may-zing bodies for 40, we might add would be besties?

Gwyneth — who has starred in the Iron Man films, along with earlier hits like Shakespeare in Love and The Talented Mr. Ripley — later enjoyed chocolate cake with other attendees at her party. And it's nice to know that Gwyneth indulges in normal-people food every now and then.

Here's wishing Gwyneth even more success in her next 40 years!
