Countess LuAnn: Carole Radziwill Is a “Mean Girl”

LuAnn de Lesseps is clearly not letting this dress issue go.

During the Real Housewives of New York Season 5 Reunion Part 1 episode, she and Carole Radziwill exchanged jabs about what happened between them on Season 5, Episode 9: "Dirty Ol' Dad."

In a nutshell, LuAnn had asked Carole to connect her with designer Naeem Khan to get a free dress for her Life & Style Magazine photo feature, but Carole was offended by LuAnn’s brazenness and discussed that in her confessional after the fact.

When the subject came up during the reunion, LuAnn was especially miffed at Carole for expressing her distaste for the request in her confessional interview rather than to her face.
Carole later wrote that it was an issue of “politeness” and that she and LuAnn clearly have a different code of conduct about such things.

According to LuAnn’s latest Bravo blog, though, it’s more a matter of “mean girl”-ing.
What makes a mean girl? A mean girl hoards her friendships and doesn’t think other people are good enough to join her circle,” she wrote. “A mean girl says things like 'You’re not good enough to wear a certain designer.'”

As for the subject of Carole being snarky in confessionals, she added, “although she says that during interviews she was just having a bit of fun at my expense, it was hurtful to watch.”

The Real Housewives of New York airs Mondays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Bravo.
