We already love Grey's Anatomy Season 9, Episode 4: "I Saw Her Standing There" because it’s directed by Kevin McKidd (Owen Hunt) and brings back Catherine Avery (Debbie Allen). But after reading the episode’s official synopsis, our hearts are about to burst with love. OK, that’s an exaggeration. But you’ll see what we mean.
According to the ABC Press Release, here is the official synopsis for Episode 4:
“Aware that Derek might never operate again, Meredith stops talking about the surgeries she’s performing. Meanwhile, Richard calls on Dr. Catherine Avery to help him perform a complicated procedure, as things continue to heat up between Jackson and April; and Arizona's struggle to accept her fate forces Callie and Alex to face their guilt.”
Key things to take away: Richard (James Pickens Jr.) calls Catherine. So Richard's latest fling doesn’t show up to see her son or for some other surgery. Nope, Richard needs her help. And we’re sure he really does need her professional help, but will that stop him from needing her, um, personal help as well?
Things heat up between Jackson (Jesse Williams) and April (Sarah Drew). If Jackson does in fact propose in Episode 3, then could April say yes if things continue to heat up?
And then you have Derek’s(Patrick Dempsey) hand, Arizona’s (Jessica Capshaw) leg and everyone else feeling guilty. Will Arizona finally forgive Alex (Justin Chambers)?
Our only question: We know Kevin directed, but what’s going on with Owen and Cristina Yang (Sandra Oh) in this episode? Will Cristina be back in Seattle by this point?
Catch the next new episode of Grey’s Anatomy on Thursday, October 18 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
