Is Nathan Fillion’s Hair Real? You Asked, We Answered!
No, seriously, many Castle fans are asking — especially after last night's episode when Beckett mentioned running her hands through Rick's thick mane during their sexy secret handshake.
If you found yourself ogling Nathan Fillion's luscious locks and wondering if he's wearing a toupee, you're not alone. Nathan's own grandmother doesn't believe his hair is real.
"I said, 'I've got to get my hair cut,' and my dad says, 'Oh, Nathan, I've got to tell you. Your grandmother called and she's convinced you're wearing a hairpiece," he told David Letterman last year.
Contrary to what grandma says, Nathan's hair is 100 percent real. But he does understand how people could make that mistake.
"On the Fillion side of my family, we have what we call a floating scalp. It's a genetic thing," he explained, and proceeded to demonstrate how his scalp shifts from side to side. (It's pretty hilarious. If you haven't seen it, watch the clip here).
Nathan added, "If I did wear a hairpiece, wouldn't it be, like, a closely guarded secret?"
Letterman then gave his hair a good tug, just to make sure.
"Yeah, it's really on there!" he laughed.
