Christina Aguilera Set to Perform New Music at 2012 American Music Awards (VIDEO)

It’s seems Christina Aguilera is super excited for “Your Body” the single, that is. The pop diva has already committed to taking at least one season off from The Voice this spring to promote her new album, Lotus, and now she’s announced another big event.

The 2012 40th Annual AMA Awards will take place on Sunday, Nov. 18, only five days after the release of Xtina’s highly-anticipated CD hits shelves.

To celebrate, the “Dirrty” singer will perform a medley of songs off the new record.

“Yes, it’s very exciting,” she told MTV after announcing the 2012 nominees. “It’s definitely going to be a reflection of what Lotus means to me. So if you take that album cover and sort of give it a little performance twist, I sort of bring that album cover to life. I can’t give too much away about the songs, but it’s definitely going to represent the album.”

Hmm, she’s going to bring the album cover to life? Last time we checked our girl wasn’t wearing any clothes on that cover. Could that mean she’ll go nude at the AMAs? We know she loves her curves, but we can’t imagine the network would be too thrilled.

Are you excited for Christina’s performance? Weigh in below!
