Alexander Skarsgard Doesn’t Think He’s Sexy or Masculine, Says He Had “Zero Talent” Growing Up
When it comes to sexy vampires, True Blood ‘s Alexander Skarsgard takes the cake — actually, when it comes to gorgeous men in general, he’s at the top of our list — but surprisingly, he doesn’t feel the same!
When asked if he thinks he is “sexy and masculine” like Encounter by Calvin Klein, the fragrance he represents, A. Skars quickly dismissed the notion.
“I’m still waiting for them to tell me it’s a joke and they’ve actually found the real guy,” he admitted to The Globe and Mail. “I don’t really think about myself that way at all.”
It might not be that he doesn’t find himself attractive at all, though. Alexander also explained that in Sweden, it’s customary not to brag about yourself.
“Swedes generally don’t show off,” he said. “It’s a culture where people don’t really talk about success. You strive for it, but it’s kind of frowned upon in Sweden to brag.”
And when it comes to social media, A. Skars is adamantly against it — unless you have an important message.
“I’m an actor. Do people care? I don’t — not about myself in that way,” he said. “It’s so me, me, me.”
Although he won’t broadcast his thoughts and feelings on the internet, he will talk about his past career aspirations. We can’t imagine Alex not lighting up our screens, but he considered two surprising options after his child actor days.
“Architect — I was interested in that,” he said. “When I was a kid, I also wanted to be a [soccer] player, but I realized early on that I had zero talent.”
