American Idol’s Jessica Sanchez Coming to Glee Season 4: Creator Ryan Murphy Reacts on Twitter

Back in June, reports flew that Season 11 American Idol runner up Jessica Sanchez might be headed to Glee. Now, as of Monday night, it’s official: Jessica will have a recurring role on Glee Season 4.

TV Line broke the news on October 13, and Glee creator Ryan Murphy took to Twitter just hours later to sound off about the news.

Michael Ausiello broke news of Jessica Sanchez on Glee” he tweeted around 9:30 pm.”With voices like Jessica, Lea, Naya, Melissa, Amber, and Jenna...Streisand episode?

So far nothing is known about Jessica’s upcoming Glee role, other than the fact that she will appear for more than one episode. Considering that Jessica is only 16, we’d say it’s pretty safe to assume that she’ll be showing up at McKinley or one of the rival glee clubs — and not at NYADA as one of Rachel (Lea Michele) and Brody’s (Dean Geyer) college-aged peers.

Are you excited to see Jessica make her debut? What sort of character are you hoping she’ll play? Head below and sound off.
