Aviva Explains the Real Reason Why Ramonja’s Partying Bothered Her on RHONY

On The Real Housewives of New York Season 5 Reunion Part 2, Aviva explained the real reason behind some of her anger towards Ramona Singer and Sonja Morgan. And it was a very moving story, so moving that even Ramona admitted she was getting “chills.”

Aviva Drescher explained, “Something that you don’t know is that my mom passed away six years ago of alcoholism.” She continued, “She was the most incredible mother, she was a beautiful woman.” But sadly, “She died of a burst ulcer caused by alcoholism.”

Suddenly, a lot of Aviva’s behavior this season started to make sense. She apologized (again) to Ramona and Sonja for being so harsh on them about their drinking, and told them, “I am extremely sensitive to partying.” She said that when she was yelling at them, it was as if she were yelling at her mother.

We actually think this level of emotional intimacy could be good for Aviva, Ramona, and Sonja’s relationship going forward. Do you think this admission could have opened the door to repair the friendship?
