Roger Mathews’s Violent Behavior Towards JWOWW: Would You Have Forgiven Him?

On the most recent episode of Jersey Shore (Season 6, Episode 4: “Merp Walk)” the biggest fight in Jersey Shore history went down, and so did a few cast members. But did Roger Mathews’s fighting spirit get a little too out of hand?

During the fight, Roger is seen on camera getting ready to throw a punch. JWOWW bravely put herself in front of Roger, telling him, “No! No!” repeatedly. Roger did back down slightly, but when someone else continued to taunt him, Roger shoved JWOWW off to the side so hard that she fell to the ground.

In the previews for the next episode (Season 6, Episode 5: “Old Profession”, airing October 18), Jenni is at the doctor’s office looking at X-rays for an injury she sustained during the fight. This eventually led to her walking around Seaside on crutches for a brief period over the summer.

Roger addressed the controversial footage on Twitter the day after the episode aired (October 12) by saying, essentially, viewers can judge all they want, but he knows his relationship with fiancée JWOWW is a happy one.

Whether or not they’ve patched things up since this fight (which took place in June) is secondary, however, to the fight itself. Do you think Roger’s violent behavior is forgivable?

Tell us in the reaction buttons below: Would you have forgiven Roger’s violent behavior, or would you have ended the relationship right away?

Catch the next new episode of Jersey Shore on Thursday, October 18 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on MTV.
