"She's preparing for the schedule that lays ahead," her pro partner Mark Ballas told E! News.
E! noted that it was unusual for the departing couples to skip press, and On the Red Carpet asked Mark about it too — saying it was only the fifth time in DWTS history that an eliminated star didn’t talk to them. Why wasn't she there?
"I just think it's a lot right now,” Mark told OTRC. “Bristol's never been eliminated. We made the finals last time. It's emotional. And also we have a crazy schedule. We've got to get to Jimmy Kimmel. We got to fly to New York. And she's got to change — she's got this crazy pony [50s style ponytail] hairdo right now. Luckily I have no hair. I don't have to worry about that. I just have to change my pants. So I said 'You go get dressed, I'll go take care of this.'"
It sounds like he suggested she skip the immediate post-elimination press. Yes, they do have a crazy schedule, but it's the same schedule the other eliminated partners have to deal with as well. However, Bristol did sit down with Mark later that night on Jimmy Kimmel Live and she was on Good Morning America first thing this morning.
Bristol told Jimmy she had never been in the bottom two before and was optimistic that they would’ve made it further. She told GMA the death threats sent to her made the show more serious but thankfully she had a great support system to get through it.
