DWTS All-Stars: Which Freestyle Team Is Stronger?

It was hard enough picking a favorite among the enormously talented Dancing With the Stars Season 15 All-Stars couples, but now, it’s time to choose a team. Which group dance do you think will win on next week’s Season 15, Week 5: Performance show (live on October 22): Gilles Marini’s team or Shawn Johnson’s team?

Next week, the couples will participate in their team’s freestyle dance, and also perform their own individual dances. As the cumulative score leaders, Gilles and Peta Murgatroyd and Derek Hough were in charge of choosing their teams on the Season 15, Week 4: Results show, live. To recap, here’s a list of who wound up on which team, in the order they were picked.

Team Gilles/Peta, dancing to Psy’s “Gangnam Style”
- Kelly Monaco and Val Chmerkovskiy
- Kirstie Alley and Maksim Chmerkovskiy
- Emmitt Smith and Cheryl Burke

Team ShawnDerek, dancing to Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Call Me Maybe”
- Sabrina Bryan and Louis van Amstel
- Melissa Rycroft and Tony Dovolani
- Apolo Anton Ohno and Karina Smirnoff

Which team do you think is stronger, based on dancing skills alone? Of course, it’s important to take into account the group’s chemistry. Peta will have her boyfriend (Maks), her boyfriend’s brother (Val), and one of their best friends from childhood (Cheryl) on the same team. Will that help them dominate? Or is it more important that the contestants work well together?

It’s also worth pointing out that Shawn’s team has three female contestants and only one male (Apolo). Will that impact the group’s balance overall?

Tell us which team you think is stronger in the reaction buttons below!
