Happy Birthday, Glee’s Jacob Artist! 5 Reasons We Love You
Glee newbie Jacob Artist (Jake) has only been around for four episodes so far, but he’s already becoming one of our favorite characters on the show. Today, October 17, 2012, Jacob turns 20 years old. Here are our top five reasons why we can’t get enough of him on Glee.
1. His voice.
At the beginning of Glee Season 4, the show introduced a handful of new characters, each of which was vying for our attention. But more than any of the others, Jacob simply took our breath away — from the very first moment he opening his mouth to sing. His version of The Fray's "Never Say Never" is still one of our favorite songs Glee has done so far this year. His voice is magical. Swoon.
Jake Puckerman might be standoffish and a bit of a loner, but watch any of Glee’s behind the scenes videos, and it quickly becomes apparent that this is not the case with Jacob at all. The actor is friendly, energetic and seems genuinely excited all the time. In a show where many of the characters often seem like just fictionalized versions of the actors themselves — that certainly does not seem to be the case with Jacob.
3. His dance background.
Jake hasn’t really gotten the opportunity to bust a move yet on Glee, but in real life, Jacob trained as a dancer for most of his childhood. He even got into prestigious Juilliard, but put his admission on hold to go off to Hollywood and pursue his acting dream.
One: It’s Disneyland. And that’s awesome. Two: We love the PLL crossover. In face, does anyone else secretly hope that Jacob might one day get the chance to guest star on PLL? As long as he’s not revealed as part of The A Team, that is. Finding that out about Toby was hard enough. We couldn’t handle another one.
