Watch Alessandra Guercio and Kayla Nevarez Sing Katy Perry’s “Wide Awake” on The Voice Battle Rounds, Oct. 16, 2012 (VIDEO)

Alessandra Guercio and Kayla Nevarez worked hard with their coach Adam Levine and mentor Mary J. Blige to perfect Katy Perry’s “Wide Awake,” but they both had to compromise with their techniques during the battle.

The duo was a bit shaky, with Xtina urging them to take risks with their voices, but they were well-received by the coaches. Adam gave constructive criticism to his contestants before making a tough call, choosing Kayla as the winner!

Shockingly, Christina suddenly stole Alessandra, hoping to support the young singer and build her confidence before the knockout rounds!
