Miranda Lambert Opens Up About Her Marriage With Blake Shelton, Addresses Cheating Rumors
Let’s be honest, y’all! As much as we love Blake Shelton on The Voice, we really miss having his wife, Miranda Lambert as a mentor this season. And the occasional, “Muh wife, Miranda,” comment simply isn’t enough for us.
So we were thrilled when we saw that the country starlet was on the cover of this month’s Good Housekeeping Magazine looking adorable as ever. Never one to shy away from her relationship with The Voice judge, Miranda was quick to open up in the cover story.
"Blake's 90 percent good ol' boy and 10 percent bad boy, which is a really great balance," she said. "I'm flattered that people think he's attractive. It's cool to be on his arm, like, 'I'm with him. So back up, ladies!'”
Alright, we’ll take a step back Ms. Lambert.
But we aren’t the only women who have been after Blake’s attention. In fact, when the couple met, Blake was actually married. Miranda performed with Blake in 2005 when he was married to Kaynette Williams.
Miranda admits, “There was definitely chemistry,” but the two didn’t get together until after Blake divorced his wife in 2006.
"People made assumptions that were not true," she said. "We were honest with each other: We talked, we hung out, and we wrote songs a couple of times.”
And today they’re one of the most powerful couples in country music. For the last two years, they’ve won Male and Female Vocalist of the Year at the ACM Awards, and both continue to have hit singles on the country charts.
They recently celebrated their one-year wedding anniversary and seem to be going strong.
