Grey's Anatomy

Grey’s Anatomy Season 9, Episode 3 Review: What Did You Think of “Love the One You’re With?”

On Grey's Anatomy Season 9, Episode 3: “Love the One You’re With,” many of our favorite ships were transformed. Calzona is in trouble, with Arizona (Jessica Capshaw) going from sad to bitter, berating Callie (Sara Ramirez) at home. MerDer is in great shape, having sex on top of baby toys. And Jackson (Jesse Williams) and April (Sarah Drew) are coming to terms with just how strongly they feel about each other.

Then there was Owen (Kevin McKidd) and Cristina (Sandra Oh), who seem to be moving closer and closer together, at least emotionally. Cristina subtly admits that just hearing his voice is driving her crazy, in the best of ways. And Alex (Justin Chambers) and his intern are getting closer too, but at least they’re starting from an honest place. He’s already slept with all of her friends, so she feigns disinterest.

And what about that settlement offer? Were they right to decline such a large sum of money? Is Derek’s (Patrick Dempsey) decision a good one?
