Lady Gaga latest feud is as crazy as a having prawns in private parts.
After a music video South African rap group Die Antwoord (Afrikaans for “the answer”) depicted the Lady Gaga in all sorts of unflattering ways, the singer fired off a retaliatory tweet.
The video for the song “Fatty Boom Boom” — the title alone is already a diss! — depicts a Gaga clone touring South Africa in her famous meat dress before being ambushed by rebels, having a gynecologist take a prawn out of her vagina, and being mauled by a lion.
The video also features the performers in full body paint and others in black patent leather. In fact, aside from the violence, it’s practically a Gaga music video.
The Lady herself didn’t appreciate the references, though, tweeting, “I fink you freaky, but you don’t have a hit. 100,000 tickets sold in South Africa. #thatmys—t”
Nice snap, but kinda vague. We’ll explain: The first half references Die Antwoord’s song “I Fink You Freaky,” while the second alludes to her upcoming shows in Cape Town and Johannesburg.
Die Antwoord posted Gaga’s tweet as a Facebook wall photo with the caption, “Lady, even though you are ‘larger’ than us, we are still cooler than you... Plus, we don’t have prawns in our private parts!”
We’re noticing that the South Africans’ retort is more popular: Their photo was “liked” 23,000 times on Facebook, while Gaga’s tweet was retweeted and “favorited” 11,100 times.
