Once Upon a Time

Once Upon a Time Spoiler: Will Emma and August Hook Up?

Oh, to be Emma (Jennifer Morrison) on Once Upon a Time!

Think of all the men the single lady has had in her life. There’s the father of her son, Henry (Jared Gilmore), whom we’ll meet on Season 2, Episode 6. (We’re guessing he’s hot.) There’s the very hot and much missed Sheriff Graham/The Huntsman (Jamie Dornan). There’s smoldering tortured soul Jefferson/The Mad Hatter (Sebastian Stan). There’s her sexy old wardrobe buddy August/Pinocchio (Eion Bailey). And soon there’ll be Captain Guyliner Hook (Colin O'Donoghue)!

Back to August. We know Eion is returning to the show soon and a fan asked the OUAT showrunners if there’s a chance for romance between Emma and August. “I would say that Emma is definitely going to have some interesting suitors this year,” Edward Kitsis answered, via TV Guide, “but August has, so far, been such a big brother to her that I'm not sure that those two are meant to be. But it's a TV show; you never know!”

Big brother?! That’s not the vibe we got. At all. At least Adam Horowitz added, “We haven't seen the last of those two together on the show.”

Good! At the very least, they should talk about how he abandoned her when she was a baby. Yeah, he was just a kid too — and it’s Geppetto’s fault for sending him off into a strange world with a newborn to take care of, gee thanks dad! — but she had a rough life because of that choice. Now that the curse is broken in Storybrooke, both sides of their families can just hash it out and put it behind them. And then August and Emma can live happily ever after! Or are you shipping Mad Swan or Hook Swan or Baby Daddy Swan? (Maybe Bae Swan, if it ends up going in that direction?)

Catch the next new episode of Once Upon a Time on Sunday, October 21 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
