The Voice’s Laura Vivas Talks About Her Limited Air Time and the Element of Surprise

In Tuesday night’s episode of The Voice Season 3, three major battle rounds were condensed into one sequence that lasted less than two minutes. Blame it on the increased contestant pool or maybe even the level of interest, but there’s no doubt that this new limited air time keeps certain contestants from maximum exposure.

On such contestant is Team Christina’s Laura Vivas. If you’re trying to remember who that is, you’re probably not alone. The Latin pop singer has had less than one total minute of air time on the show thus far, and she recently won her battle round against pop duo Beat Frequency!

Both Laura’s blind audition and battle round were cut short, but when Wetpaint Entertainment caught up with the singer, she seemed determined to leave her mark.

“It has hurt a little bit that I’ve had such little air time,” she admitted to us. “But I’m not really so concerned because I feel like everything is for a reason. I know that I have so much more to show.”

The positive singer is ready to lay out her talent for audiences across America, especially those who aren’t expecting it.

“It could be a blessing in disguise just coming out of nowhere and showing everyone what it is I have to offer,” she revealed. “I’m kind of excited about that, being able to just come back and make my mark. That’s what I’m hoping for.”

We hope that Laura gets more air time going into the knockout rounds. What do you think of her thus far? Weigh in below!
