ANTM Judge Rob Evans: An All Male Season Wouldn’t Be “Bitchy” Enough
Tyra Banks has been trying to get America's Next Top Model to go Zoolander for five years now. Ultimately, she prevailed — sort of. We’re not getting an all male model season in next summer’s ANTM Cycle 20. We’re getting a mix of the usual ladies and new guys.
New judge Rob Evans is a male model, and he thinks blending the genders is a good way to create drama. “I think it's cool they switched it to females and males because if it was all males, they aren't as bitchy as the women," Rob told People. "So it wouldn't be good TV. … There is only so much you can get out of [a] male model."
Obviously he missed the bitchy Zoolander walk-off between Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson! New ANTM social media correspondent Bryanboy is slowly proving boys are equal to the task of serving up drama as girls. And don’t get us started on the dearly departed Miss J. Alexander, who could dish it out with the best.
Still, a gender mix should be perfect for drama. (Besides, didn’t anyone else watch Bravo’s Make Me a Supermodel?) Flirtation, jealousy, competition between the sexes — and eye candy! Don’t forget the eye candy.
