Wetpaint Entertainment: So you're wandering in and out of the asylum now?
Janel Parrish: Maybe. Mona is a sneaky little creature. She'll find her way to do anything she wants to do. It keeps it fun for me.
How much are we going to get to see you and Toby working together?
Well, now that it's been revealed, you'll definitely get to see a little more interaction between the two which makes it fun for me because I've never really gotten to work with Keegan. So it was kind of fun. We looked at each other on set, and we were like, “Let's do this. Let's actually work together. Let's have fun.”
Obviously, this relationship is new to us, but it's old news to the two of them. Are we delving into what they've been plotting?
Yes. You will find out more about how they got together to work together, when, and what they're doing. It will come more to light in the second half of Season 3.
Were you surprised to find out what they are plotting? How they've been plotting?
I was surprised. I was surprised it was Toby, and I was sad because I love Toby. But, you know, got the keep the surprises coming. That's why people like to watch our show because we throw these surprises at them.
Speaking of surprises, how surprised were you to find out who dies?
I was very surprised. I remember we were all reading at a table read, and there was a lot of “oh, snaps,” going on in the room.
So it's not something we should be expecting?
It kind of comes out of nowhere.
What can we say in general about the Spring season?
Well, Mona will be back in school. And the title of the episode is, “She's All Better Now.” So that's the big question. Is she, or isn't she?
Are we done with the asylum?
We'll see. The asylum might come back at some point, but who will be there, is the question.
