Adam Levine: “I Want Quentin Tarantino to Kill Me”

We always knew Adam Levine had a quirky side, but is he taking his weirdness to new extremes? Earlier this year in a New York Times interview with the Maroon 5 rocker, Adam dished on a litany of topics, including his process in coaching contestants on The Voice, but most notable was his confession that he's had a livelong fascination with Quentin Tarantino, the acclaimed director known for flicks like Kill Bill and Pulp Fiction. In fact, he says, being in a Quentin Tarantino movie is pretty much the only thing that would keep him on-screen.

"I don't think I'll ever do anything else on television," Adam explained when asked about future film or TV aspirations. "I'm a musician at the end of the day." And though he said that "other things have started to come up in movieland, things I can't discuss," he's currently living life "on an opportunity-by-opportunity basis."

Those comments might seem a bit untruthful considering that since this interview Adam has appeared on FX's American Horror Story and is set to star in the upcoming film, Can a Song Save Your Life?

But at the time, he only had one exception to his "music first" rule — being in a Quentin Tarantino movie.

"I'd like to be in the movie for 17 1/2 minutes," Adam explained, "and he can bloody me up as much as he wants. He can kill me really gruesomely. I'd be totally fine with that."

Your move, Quentin!
