Once Upon a Time Spoilers: When Will We Find Out Who The Mystery Man Is?
Some Once Upon a Time viewers tweeted that they thought they were on the wrong channel. Who is this random guy and what city is he wandering through at the start of Season 2?
You probably recognized Michael Raymond-James as the mystery character cast for Season 2. He wasn't given a Fairytale Land identity, although there were many clues shared during the premiere. A little birdie just gave him a postcard, also the title of the episode, that the curse was "Broken" in Storybrooke, Maine.
TV Guide talked to showrunners Adam Hororwitz and Edward Kitsis about the new guy and Adam teased, "All we can say about his character is that sooner rather than later, you'll learn a lot more about him. We air nine episodes before we're scheduled to go off for Christmas break, and within those episodes, you'll learn a lot more about him and what his role in our larger story is."
So consider him one of our Christmas presents from The Powers That Be. (Thanks, dearies!)
TV Guide asked if the guy might be Henry’s (Jared Gilmore) father. We're also curious if he might be Rumplestiltskin's (Robert Carlyle) son, Baelfire, who was sent to a land without magic and perhaps he's been trying to get back with his dad and just needed the spell to be broken to make it happen. (We’re also curious to know if Henry’s dad and Bae are the same person.)
"I'd say that there's a lot of theories out there," Adam said. "We love the speculation, but you're just going to have to watch and see! Henry's father is someone we will learn about this year well before the finale."
What are your theories for Mystery Man? Do you have a theory beyond Henry’s dad or Bae? Who sent him the postcard — Rumple? Do you think he’ll ever get his phone back or is that thing crushed now that it’s fallen out the window? Man, it’s annoying when that happens.
