Gossip Girl Producers: Season 6 Episode 3 Is a “Big Turning Point for Dan”
Gossip Girl Season 6 Episode 3 “Dirty Rotten Scandals” promises to be one big bomb after another. In this new sneak peek with executive producer Sara Goodman and executive story editor Natalie Krinsky, we get a behind the scenes look at some of the motivation and evolution of the characters.
So, what’s going down? Blair (Leighton Meester) nitpicks her designs in preparation for what looks like it’s going to be one hell of a fashion show debut — notice that her French colleague Jean-Pierre is in town.
Meanwhile Nate (Chace Crawford) prepares to print Dan (Penn Badgley)’s first serialized hatred in newspaper form. “This is really the debut of who is going to be Dan’s first victim,” Natalie says. “And I think that’s a really surprising person... who we don’t see coming... And what Dan does with the serial is really going to shape the way his character moves through the season.” Sounds scandalous.
As for Sage (Sophia Black-D’Elia)? Well, she’s getting into trouble with Barry Watson (Steven Spence) for engaging more in extra-curricular activities with Nate than in her school work... So, we suppose that whole 17-year-old thing isn’t going to be a problem after all. The showrunners tease that Sage’s view of her pop’s relationship with Serena (Blake Lively) is going to “come into play in lots of fun ways.” Considering GG’s interpretation of “fun,” we’re buckling up for a wild ride.
