American Horror Story: Asylum Spoiler: Is Evan Peters’s Kit Really Bloody Face?
We’re only one episode in to American Horror Story: Asylum, and amid the sea of mystery and uncertainty, one thing’s for sure: The distinction between sane and insane is totally muddy, and those labels appear to spring more from societal prejudice than clinical diagnosis.
That’s especially true for Kit, Evan Peters’s character who is committed at Briarcliff under the assumption that he’s a serial killer named Bloody Face — allegations he denies. All we know of Kit’s pre-Briarcliff life so far is that he received unwanted attention for his biracial marriage (it’s a 1960s-set show), and he may (or may not) have had an alien encounter.
When asked if Kit really is Bloody Face, TV Guide sidestepped the query, instead musing, “[I]t is rather curious that the only seemingly sane person within the walls of Briarcliff trusts him.”
They’re referring to Lizzie Brocheré’s Grace, whose “trust in Kit this week will work against her when she's thisclose to making a run for it.”
Let’s hope we get at least a couple answers as the questions continue to mount!
