FOX Announces Midseason Premiere Dates For The Following, Touch
As if your DVR weren’t bursting at the seams, threatening to blow the contents of your TV backlog all over your living room, FOX has just set the starts dates for some of its midseason premieres.
The Following is a “thriller [that] will follow Hardy (Kevin Bacon) and the FBI as they are challenged with the ever-growing web of murder around them, masterminded by the devious Carroll (James Purefoy), who dreams of writing a novel with Hardy as his protagonist,” describes the network.
“The reinvigorated Hardy will get a second chance to capture Carroll, as he's faced with not one, but a cult of serial killers.”
The hunt is on come Monday, January 21 at 9 P.M. ET, currently the berth of the struggling freshman drama The Mob Doctor. (Crash cart, stat!)
Also set to premiere is the second season of Touch. “Blending science, spirituality and emotion, the series follows seemingly unrelated people from across the world, all of whose lives impact each other in ways seen and unseen, known and unknown,” says FOX in its synopsis.
“At the center of the story is Martin Bohm (Kiefer Sutherland), a widower and single father who struggles to communicate and connect with his emotionally challenged 12-year-old son, Jake.”
Mario Bello of last season’s Prime Suspect will join the cast when the show returns on Friday, February 1, at 9 P.M. ET — a timeslot currently held by Fringe, which concludes in January.
Still no word on the start date for FOX’s new comedy The Goodwin Games.
