Alexis announced last month that she wouldn’t be back this season, claiming that she was turning down Bravo’s offer to appear because the drama was too much for her.
However, according to Radar Online, Alexis tried to get a $100,000 pay raise this season, and Bravo responded by not renewing her contract. When Alexis realized she wasn’t getting that raise, “she immediately pleaded with TV execs to give her another chance,” Radar reports.
It appears that Bravo execs agreed to let Alexis return to the show at her current $200,000 yearly salary. But Alexis’s wheeling and dealing didn’t sit well with her fellow castmates. “The rest of the cast thinks she’s an egomaniac and are furious,” says a source.
In fact, Tamra Barney tweeted on September 18th, “Let's just say the story I read and what I was told does not match.” And Heather Dubrow tweeted on October 5th, “When you are offered a return & you ask 4 more $ & they say "never mind". That's a clue. I'm honest, not mean.”
So the other Housewives may not be thrilled that Alexis is returning, but we can’t wait to see all this drama unfold throughout the season!
