Glee Season 4: [Spoiler] Will Have a Dance Solo at Sectionals — and It’s Not Who You Think!

Are we about to see a little fancy footwork from Glee’s Sam (Chord Overstreet) and at Sectionals, no less?

Sam wouldn’t be the first guy on the show whom you might expect to cut a rug at a competition. Mike (Harry Shum Jr.) is obviously the most-fleeted footed of the guys, and Blaine (Darren Criss) can certainly bust a move or ten. But Sam?

Sure, we’ve loved seeing the guy put his best foot forward on numbers like One Direction’s “What Makes You Beautiful” in Season 3, Episode 19: “Prom-asaurus,” or even doing his best ‘50s-style boogie on Grease’s “Summer Nights” from Season 3, Episode 10: “Yes/No.” But we’ll admit that he’s never been Fred Astaire.

However, that may all be about to change. Glee choreographer Zach Woodlee has revealed that Sam will be getting a solo during McKinley’s upcoming Sectionals episode, and he’ll get a chance to show off some new dance moves. Whether this solo will also involve vocals is unclear, but Zach is certainly proud of the progress Chord is making as a hoofer.

Frankly, we’ve never thought Chord was all that bad as a dancer, but it’s great that he continues to improve and that Zach and Harry are giving him the credit he deserves.

So does this mean that Cory Monteith (Finn) still has some progress to make on his dancing before he gets a complimentary tweet from Zach? We shall see.
