Grey's Anatomy

Grey’s Anatomy Season 9, Episode 4 Review: What Did You Think of “I Saw Her Standing There”?

On Grey's Anatomy Season 9, Episode 4: "I Saw Her Standing There," which was directed by Kevin McKidd (Owen Hunt), we got to see several couples engaging in various states of bliss, anxiety, and good old-fashioned sex.

Richard Webber (James Pickens Jr.) was happy to see Catherine again, even if it meant Bailey (Chandra Wilson) got involved and Jackson (Jesse Williams) got embarrassed; Cristina (Sandra Oh) and Dr. Parker’s weird new relationship was revealed; and MerDer struggled with the elephant in the room. No, not Zola’s toy elephant, but the fact that Derek (Patrick Dempsey) might not be happy teaching forever.

As it turned out, our favorite doctors are even stronger than we thought. Cristina broke things off fast, Derek got a "contact high" from hearing about Meredith's surgery, and Arizona (Jessica Capshaw) toughened up enough to let Callie (Sara Ramirez) watch TV with her.
