Marlene King Reveals a New Pretty Little Liars Season 3 Finale Clue

If you aren’t already dying from all of the jaw-dropping action and cliffhangers from the Pretty Little Liars Halloween episode (Season 3, Episode 13: “This Is a Dark Ride”), we’ve got one more tease for you. But only if your heart can take it.

PLL showrunner Marlene King took to Twitter to do what she does best, second only to coming up with mind-boggling twists, of course. She presented us with the latest finale clue for Season 3, and it goes a little something like this:

“The bell over the door signals an incoming customer.... #PLLfinale

OK, we need your help. Is Marlene referencing the Halloween store that we saw so much of in Pretty Dirty Secrets? Perhaps it becomes another kind of store in the winter?

Or are we talking about something going down at The Brew? Is there a bell above that door? We think the focus here is the incoming customer. Thoughts on who it could be? A member of the “A” team, we’d assume.

Are we taking this too literally? And what is with the red text? Could there be even more blood spilled in the finale?

Or is Marlene hinting at the return of another character? Could it be Alison (Sasha Pieterse)? Or her twin?

We’re stumped. Help us out with your thoughts in the comments below! But really.

Catch the return of PLL Season 3 on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC Family.
