Lynne Spears Claims Britney’s Ex-Manager Was a “Predator” and “Puppet Master”
According to Us Weekly, Britney Spears' mother, Lynne Spears, took the stand in court on Friday to talk about Britney's dark days. You know, before she joined The X Factor.
The court case revolves around Britney Spear’s ex-manager, Sam Lutfi, who is suing for unpaid compensation and defamation in Lynne’s memoir, Through the Storm, in which he’s accused of drugging Britney.
Lynne got emotional on the stand and told the jury that Sam had at one point claimed to unplug Britney’s house phone, hide her cell and mash up pills to put in her food.
“Those are his exact words,” Lynne said. She went on to call Sam a “predator” and “puppet master.”
According to Lynne, Sam “hovered over my daughter and tried to insert himself in every aspect of her life. I was very worried. I kept trying to get her away from there ... I didn't know what to do.”
Sam has previously claimed that Britney’s father threatened his life.
