The show is filmed in LA, so performance night will go on as scheduled. The question is, will anyone on the East Coast be watching — or voting?
As the Washington Times points out, the hurricane is predicted to hit the East Coast right around the time voting would start after the show tonight. Evacuations, power outages, and general disarray are expected to affect millions on the East Coast, meaning there might be a significant chunk of the DWTS audience who don't vote this week.
Will that affect the outcome of the votes? Do certain stars or pros have more fans on the East Coast than elsewhere? Given the diversity of types of contestants, it makes sense that certain stars might be more popular in certain parts of the country. If that's true, the storm could make a real difference in who gets eliminated tomorrow.
Which contestants do you think are most likely to be hurt if the East Coast can't vote? Share your theories in the comments below. And for those of you on the East Coast: Stay safe!
