The Voice Season 3: New Rule Doesn’t Guarantee Each Coach’s Team a Spot in the Final 4

Though we love the four celebrity coaches, the same can’t always be said for their contestants on The Voice. We’re not saying we don’t appreciate everyone’s talent, but in the past, certain contestants haven’t quite made it as far as they deserved because of one specific rule.

Take, for example, former Team Cee Lo contestant Jamar Rogers: The talented and inspirational singer didn’t make it to the Final 4 because he was on the same team as coach-favorite, Juliet Simms. Both contestants had what it takes to win the competition, but, because they were on the same team, Jamar was sent packing.

But now, thanks to a new rule in Season 3, not all coaches are guaranteed a contestant in the finals. According to TVLine, the bottom two contestants will be sent home every week, regardless of what team they’re on. This starts Nov. 13, after this week’s knockout rounds and the election week “playoffs.”

Are you excited about this new rule or do you wish things had stayed the way they were last season? Weigh in below!
