Kelsey Grammer Explains Why He Brought His Newborn to a Playboy Party
Kelsey Grammer is doing his best to explain why he and his wife, Kayte, brought their three-month-old daughter to a loud, raucous Playboy Mansion party over the weekend. (In other words: Good luck with that, buddy.)
Some attendees at Playboy’s Halloween party on Saturday, October 27, were not exactly cheering (or is it “cheers-ing”?) when they saw that Kelsey had brought his infant to the rager. Model and partygoer Melissa May tweeted, “Why the fk does Kelsey Grammer have a newborn baby at the mansion party!?!?!? Smh.”
Kelsey — who split from Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ Camille Grammer in 2010 — now tells TMZ that he and his wife had trouble finding anyone else to watch their baby, Faith. "Kayte is breast-feeding, and we do not have a nanny or a trusted babysitter at this time, so Faith goes everywhere with us," Kelsey explains.
Kelsey said they took proper precautions to ensure that the party’s blaring music wouldn’t be an issue. "The baby slept as her ears were covered the entire time, and we left shortly after midnight," he adds.
Okay, so we feel a little bit better if Faith’s ears were in fact protected. We still wonder if a Playboy party — full of booze and cigarettes and, uh, shenanigans — is really the best place for a child. Or maybe Faith just really wanted to go where everybody would know her name?
