Burning Questions: Does Gossip Girl Really Exist? You Asked, We Answer!
If you’ve looked at your “Who Is Gossip Girl?” wall chart recently, chances are you’re a little confused. It can’t be Serena (Blake Lively) or Blair (Leighton Meester) or Nate (Chace Crawford) or Chuck (Ed Westwick), right? Why would S & B write mean things about themselves? Unless Nate has a dissociative identity disorder, he wouldn’t be fighting himself. And Chuck, well, he’s Chuck Bass.
So, when a fan asked us if Gossip Girl really exists, we had to wonder. Is it possible that “she’s” not real, or that GG is a pen name like R.L. Stine (we are still brokenhearted he didn’t write all those Goosebumps books)?
We don’t know for sure, but we do know that by the end of the season, producers have promised Gossip Girl’s identity will be revealed. Is this all an elaborate ruse that will end with, like, the background photobombing mean girl being the source of all the posts? Will Kristen Bell make an appearance and just be all "Hey guys, jig's up, I'm Gossip Girl."?
