Glee’s Dot-Marie Jones: Beiste’s Giving Relationship Advice — and Coaching Blake Jenner’s Ryder! Exclusive

Coach Beiste (Dot-Marie Jones) hasn’t been at the forefront of Glee so far this season, but that seems to be changing during these next couple of episodes. Not only will Beiste offer some relationship advice and counseling to Will (Matthew Morrison) and Emma (Jayma Mays), but she’ll also have scenes on the football field with Glee newcomer Ryder (Blake Jenner).

Wetpaint Entertainment spoke exclusively with Dot-Marie at a Young Storytellers Foundation event on October 20, and she gave us a couple of tease about what’s to come.

How much have you worked with Blake Jenner? What is his relationship with Coach Beiste like?
Blake I worked with on Episode 5, which will air on November 8th and we’re on
the football field.

We’ve heard that Ryder will struggle with dyslexia, does Beiste help him out with that, does he open up about it?
Not yet.

We’ve heard that Beiste might be acting as a sort of counselor for Will and Emma. What sort of advice does she give them?
I can’t tell you that, but Beiste is very knowledgeable based on her relationship
last season.
Iqbal Theba (Principal Figgins): Get more intimate!
Dot-Marie Jones: Yeah! Ba-donk-de-donk!

Anything new with your domestic violence storyline?
No nothing, nothing. Nothing yet, we don’t know until we get the scripts what’s
coming up.
