Nashville Songs: Music From Season 1, Episode 4, “We Live in Two Different Worlds”

Nashville Season 1, Episode 4, “We Live in Different Worlds” was packed with much more drama than music — Juliette’s (Hayden Panettiere) recreational stealing, Gunnar’s (Sam Palladio) new conquest, Teddy’s (Eric Close) mysterious car conversation with Peggy. That’s Ok, though, because what songs there were were spot on, as usual. Check out the full list below!

Artist: Los Campesinos!
Song: "By Your Hand"
Music moment: Gunnar tells Scarlett that they got the deal
I was sitting on my hands at the top-deck of the 178, spitting cusses at my face reflected in the windscreen pane. Throwing insults and calling names. Filthy SMSs that you sent through the day, by sundown become tame, so I set it in motion again. But fates a cruel mistress, girl, the prettiest in the world. She dresses loosely in a bathrobe with her hair up in curls, ‘cause we were kissing for hours with her hands in my trousers, she could not contain herself, suggests we go back to her house. But here it comes, this is the crux, she vomits down my rental tux. I’m not sure if it’s love anymore, but I’ve been thinking of you fondly for sure. Remember what your heart is for. By your hand is the only end I foresee, I have been dreaming you’ve been dreaming about me And it’s a good night For a fist fight Because the dew will temper your fall You’ll sing me lullabies in form of your cat-calls

Artist: AgesandAges
Song: "Alright You Restless"
Music moment: McKenna tries to talk to Juliette as she does yoga
Alright, you restless, arise and make believe it isn’t dangerous To show the fervor you hide. Your big idea’s safe with us. We’ve got no act to critique, no reason not to take you serious. So, mull it over, you’ll see you’re bigger here than where you’re at We’re ready and don’t you know this life is good enough We’re ready and don’t you know this life is good enough So get on, get up, you got so much so many wither away But that won’t happen to us I came up hard with a weight that didn’t ever seem to taper off And no amount of restraint could keep it all from adding up But, here our conscience is clean and we’ve no need to make apologies And all who come are the same, you’re bigger here than where you’re at We’re ready and don’t you know this life is good enough

I have stood on the changing ground, I have walked like a man in chains, I tried hard to do my best, but could not make my way, trouble was on my tail, and he followed me like a hound, til I moved the one step onto ground and off of that changing ground, changing ground, changing ground
