Anderson Cooper’s own talk show, Anderson Live, was recently canceled after its second season. As Bethenny fans know, her six-week try-out of Bethenny over the summer was a huge success (even in the limited markets where it aired). Could Bethenny wind up replacing Anderson next summer or fall?
The Huffington Post reports that this is a likely possibility. As one producer says, “There are only so many hours of daytime TV each network has to program. It’s the survival of the fittest. If you think a new show is going to get more viewers and advertising dollars than an old show, the choice is obvious.”
In New York, Anderson Live airs at 12 p.m. ET. Does that mean we can expect Bethenny’s show to debut in the same time slot? That might be a perfect time for it, considering she wouldn’t be competing with The View at 11 a.m. ET or her business partner Ellen Degeneres, whose show airs at 4 p.m. ET.
Bethenny and Anderson are actually friends in real life, which could make the transition awkward. But knowing Bethenny, she can charm her way out of any situation. We can’t wait to see the new show!
