American Idol’s Phillip Phillips Accused of Forcing Family to Sell Pawn Shop
Fame isn’t always a positive thing, particularly if you’re one of the people left behind.
We recently reported that American Idol winner Phillip Phillips’ father, Donnie Phillips, was planning on auctioning off the family’s pawn shop, but now, TMZ reports that the family is saying they were forced to get rid of the shop after being blown off by their son.
The shop, Albany Sporting Goods and Pawn, has been in the family for 24 years and will be put up for auction on Dec. 1. According to TMZ, the family is selling the shop in order to pay off debt.
Reportedly, the family has reached out to Phillip for financial help but has been ignored and is hurt by Phillip’s silence.
Do you believe the family’s story?
