Chuck Lorre Disses The Bachelor, Gets Served by Show Execs on Twitter
Do you guys hear that ruckus? It’s the sound of the next big Twitter feud comin’ atcha. This time, it’s between Chuck Lorre, creator of CBS’s The Big Bang Theory and Two and a Half Men, and several people involved with The Bachelor and its spinoffs, including ABC executive Robert Mills and host Chris Harrison.
It all began with Chuck Lorre’s vanity card at the end of last night’s episode of The Big Bang Theory (for those who don’t watch his shows: at the end Chuck Lorre always includes a flash of a card that contains his random musings about life, the universe, and everything). In last night’s card called The Bachelor “idiotic.” Excuuuuse us, Chuck? Also, he called it a game show. Dude, does this look like Jeopardy! to you?
Once producer Elan Gale caught wind of it, the verbal assaults began. Elan tweeted, “Someone has been freebasing crushed up copies of Dharma & Greg DVDs” and “Two and a Half Men. Zero salient points.” Could he be insinuating that those aren’t good shows? Chris Harrison seemed to agree, retweeting both of Elan’s tweets.
Robert Mills, the executive behind all three shows in the Bachelor franchise joined in, pointing out that one of the stars of Chuck’s #1 show is a huge fan.
