Jersey Shore News Roundup: How Did the Cast React to Hurricane Sandy?

This week was far from fun and games for the Jersey Shore cast — or the Jersey Shore itself. Hurricane Sandy swept through the East Coast, devastating the Seaside area and impacting the entire cast.

So how did the cast react, and what are they doing now? We've rounded up the biggest Sandy related Jersey Shore news right here.

- The cast live tweeted their experiences of the storm — at least until some of them lost power! The entire cast weathered the storm safely, but not always easily. Snooki had to figure out how to change Lorenzo's diapers without power before she finally got herself to her parents' house, (which has power); JWOWW, who wasn't at home, was worried about fiance Roger Mathews' safety; and Deena Nicole lost power for long time.

- In the wake of the disaster, the cast expressed shock, horror, and heartbreak over what happened to their beloved second home of Seaside, releasing statements calling it "devastating." They also tweeted about how surreal it was to watch the new episode of Jersey Shore on Thursday night, knowing all their old haunts have been damaged or destroyed.

- But they haven't just been sitting back and crying. Every member of the cast has been calling for fans to donate to the relief efforts, and MTV's parent company, Viacom, donated $1 million to the cause.

- Plus, some of the cast is getting hands on with their help. We know JWOWW is helping out with the clean up, and Roger is practically a bona fide hero: he and a buddy jet skied around the flooded areas of their town, Toms River, trying to help people who were stranded. Snooki, meanwhile, has raided her own closet so she could donate a huge amount of clothing.

- As for the Jersey Shore locations you've come to know and love, the Shore House is relatively fine, but the Shore Store has damaged, though owner Danny Merk is determined to fix it up again.

We're just glad everyone is safe.
