Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

Real Housewives’ Alexis Bellino Was Almost Replaced By the Wife of a Pro Baseball Star

Did the wife of a pro baseball player come this close to snagging Alexis Bellino’s spot on Real Housewives of Orange County?

According to RumorFix, Bravo wasn’t thrilled when Alexis asked for a substantial raise after Season 7, and they apparently went ahead and found a replacement: Allison Edmonds, the wife of former Major League Baseball player — and four-time All Star — Jim Edmonds.

Allison was all set to start filming the show, and for some reason, she dropped out at the last minute. After this happened, Bravo and Alexis got back in touch, with Alexis reportedly agreeing to appear on Season 8 at her current salary.

So just who is Allison? She appears to be friends with Heather Dubrow, as the two frequently chat on Twitter. Allison and Jim got married in 2008 in St. Louis, where Jim played for the bulk of his career with the St. Louis Cardinals, including a World Series win in 2006. Jim grew up in Orange County, and his first team was the Orange County-based Angels.

Will we see Allison on Real Housewives later in the season, or has she backed out for good? We shall see.
