Once Upon a Time

Once Upon a Time Season 2, Episode 6 Review: What Did You Think of “Tallahassee”?

On Once Upon a Time Season 2, Episode 6: “Tallahassee,” we finally discovered how Emma (Jennifer Morrison) met Neal Cassady, the Mystery Man from the Season 2 premiere (Season 2, Episode 1: “Broken”), and Henry’s (Jared Gilmore) father.

While Emma’s backstory was revealed, we watched a parallel love story begin in present-day Fairytale Land, as Emma and Captain Hook (Colin O’Donoghue) planned to steal the magic compass from the last remaining giant (played by Jorge Garcia) so they can find Storybrooke and get home.

In the past, Emma’s love for Neal was complemented by their partners-in-crime status. They thrived as Bonnie and Clyde in Oregon 11 years ago, and she fell in love for the first (and last?) time. So it’s only natural that she’d be intrigued by the very handsome Hook as they plotted to pull off a giant (pun intended) scam.

Then came the twist: August Booth/Pinocchio (Eion Bailey) knew Emma before Neal did, and he explained that her fate was important, and it didn’t involve him. He left her to get arrested and give birth to Henry in jail. To this day, Emma still thinks that Neal abandoned her, and possibly never even loved her. Of course, we know better, and so does August.

We’re left with tons of questions: What is the meaning of Henry and Sleeping Beauty’s (Sarah Bolger) nightmare about the red room? What was inside August’s magic wooden box? What happened after August sent Neal the postcard, telling him the curse was broken?

Tell us what you thought of the episode below!
