Public service announcement time: we think it’s all a little arthritic, story-wise. In both cases, the pairs were slapped together with no explanation. While Rufus was Ivy’s faux step-uncle (or whatever), they barely interacted until the end. And even then, Rufus made no pants-dance in her direction, and she certainly wasn’t interested in him. It may be that it’s all part of a scheme, but the deed-doing is still diddling along with no sign of stopping.
In Serena and Steven’s case... well... things. Feelings. Feelings and things about tielessness and almost-incest and general discomfort and revilement and confusion. It doesn’t help that Serena slept with Nate (Chace Crawford) who’s sleeping with the underage Sage (Sophia Black-D’Elia), whose dad is, um, sleeping with Serena. That’s not square — it’s horrifying.
So, let’s lay it out there. Which one of these pairings is ruining your need to feed? Or do you think the whole affair is just peachy?
