The Voice Season 3: Best Performance of the Night From Live Show Playoff Round 1 on Nov. 5, 2012 (VIDEO)

On the first episode of The Voice Season 3 live playoff rounds, all of Team Adam and Team Blake’s contestants brought their A-game. Each performance was unique, and song choices all over the board, ranging from classic rock to modern pop, with a little bit of traditional mariachi thrown in, too.

Although there were plenty of stellar contestants, the final performance of the night truly brought down the house. Team Adam’s Amanda Brown closed out the night by stepping out of her comfort zone, tackling Aerosmith’s “Dream On.” It wasn’t an easy feat, but her delivery was effortless, hitting every high note even, dare we say, better than Steven Tyler!

While she’s rocked ballads and soulful songs before, this showed that she can rock out, too — Amanda definitely isn’t a one-trick pony! From start to finish, we were mesmerized. Not only did she hit the notes perfectly, but she had incredible stage presence, truly lighting up the room and causing everyone in the crowd (judges included) to get on their feet. As the song built, we got chills, immediately picking up our phones to vote for the incredible singer.

And we weren’t alone in this — her coach, Adam, played air drums during her performance, and then called her a “rockstar,” name he doesn’t just throw around for anyone. He had no critical remarks, saying, “This, by far, was the actual best performance of the night.”

In the words of the wise Christina Aguilera, we say to Amanda: “Get it, girl!”
