Glee Season 4 Music Spoilers: Blaine to Sing Which Kelly Clarkson Song?
Glee’s covers of Kelly Clarkson songs have provided some of our favorite moments on the show. So we’re thrilled that Glee is about to add one more to the list — and we’re sure it’s not gonna “suck.”
Ryan Murphy was recently asked on Twitter, “is it true that BLAINE is singing ‘Dark Side’ by Kelly Clarkson?” In response, Ryan tweeted, “Yes. This is true.” Sweet!
So while we’re excited to hear this powerful tune on Glee, we’re curious to know who Blaine might be singing this to. Could this song be Blaine’s (Darren Criss) way of apologizing to Kurt(Chris Colfer) and acknowledging that he messed up by cheating? Or is he singing it about something else besides the split?
Either way, this newest Kelly Clarkson cover has a lot to live up to. The Troubletones knocked “What Doesn’t Kill You (Stronger)” out of the park at Regionals last season in the non-stop tear-fest known as “On My Way,” and of course Wemma’s first kiss was to the tune of “My Life Would Suck Without You” in Season 1’s “Sectionals.” Like we said, a lot to live up to.
And while Glee is at it, what’s it gonna take for the show to cover “Since U Been Gone” already, which would be especially appropriate given all the recent break-ups? C’mon, Ryan — how has that amazing song not been on the show yet?
