Jersey Shore’s Vinny Starts up Staten Island Hurricane Sandy Fundraiser

The Jersey Shore’s cast members have been getting busy for Hurricane Sandy relief in several different ways – whether it be donating an entire closet full of clothes to those in need, jet skiing around their flooded town to help stranded victims, or throwing on hazard gear and getting to work removing rubble from affected areas.

Vinny, for one, spent his Saturday (November 3) in his own home borough of Staten Island, New York helping to – in his own words on Twitter – “clean up this unbelievable destruction.” The next day (November 4), he reported joining up with his mother to pass out “good food” to local victims and volunteers in need.

Now, he’s taking his Staten Island relief efforts a step farther. Vinny has established an internet fundraising campaign to benefit those affected by Sandy in the Staten Island area at GoFundMe. With a $100,000 goal, Vinny intends to donate the funds to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation and claims he will personally present the money to the organization. To motivate fans to donate, Vin is offering up incentives like getting a personal phone call from him or a private video chat.

Vinny is already expected to participate in the Jersey Shore cast’s group fundraiser for Seaside Heights on MTV next week, but it looks like he’s been compelled to double up his efforts.
