A maid at luxury hotel Melia Duesseldorf in Germany says she was fired after asking the former American Idol judge for her autograph.
Pray Dodaj was cleaning on J.Lo’s floor and decided to ask the singer for her John Hancock. After ringing the megastar’s room, she immediately was turned away by two assistants.
“A day later the cleaning company that employed me at the hotel called and said that Ms. Lopez had complained,” Pray told German newspaper Bild (via Radar Online). “I was fired right there on the phone! Because of an autograph!”
When asked about the incident, hotel director Cyrus Heydarian said that Pray “acted contrary to the contractual arrangements and disturbed the privacy of our guests.”
Future fans be warned: You may want to wait until you’re off duty from work before asking J.Lo for her autograph!
